Gaetano Lombardo, born 1902 in London, Ontario; died 1977 in Houston, Texas. Bandleader and violinist, formed the big band with three of his brothers, and was very popular during the 40s and 50s. Lombardo was also an important figure in hydroplane racing, winning the Gold Cup in 1946. |
